How this calculator works

This calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor Equation to estimate your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), then multiplies it by your activity level to determine your daily calorie needs.

Formula:

Men: 10 × weight + 6.25 × height − 5 × age + 5

Women: 10 × weight + 6.25 × height − 5 × age − 161

Example: A 30-year-old female weighing 65 kg and 165 cm tall with moderate activity needs around 2140 calories/day.
